NYS Public Health Infrastructure Maps opens new window
The purpose of this map is to help public health nurses locate their regional partners - either from the local health department or the local nursing school. This map could be posted on college bulletin boards near internship/Practica listings to show where local health depts or regional state offices are located. The map on the first page is strictly NYSDOH Regional and Field Structure as 19 Local Health Depts are not full service and the state health dept conducts the environmental health services and various other services, such as sexually transmitted disease partner notification, etc. The map on the second page has overlaid the nursing schools with this structure in hopes of providing good information about public health locations. This map could be posted at Local Health Depts in hopes of encouraging mentorships and other collaborative activities with nearby schools.
